Vehicross
| | Model of the car: | Vehicross | | | General comments: | Because I purchased the vehicle during its early debut to the US (April '99), I paid the price in the low 30s. To this day, it's still worth every penny! I've never owned a vehicle in which, 10 months later, I still drool everytime I get behind the wheel! Having put about 24k miles into this machine, I am quite pleased and impressed with it. On the highway, there's excellent accelleration and agility for switching lanes. On the city streets, it rides smooth and quiet knocking out potholes without much reaction. The Recarro seats add to the comfort of the ride conforming to your body like a large leather glove. I managed to purchase a couple of after-market products that seems to remedy the lack-of visual problems. The first was a clear fish-eye lens made by Van-Eyes that works very well on the rear view window. Now backing up, parallel parking, and seeing who's behind me is possible! As for the blind spots, I purchased a couple of those small round mirrors to attach to the side mirrors and the scary lane changing is resolved.Having owned a couple of SUVs (the '98 Honda Passport being the most recent) I've come to a conclusion that this has just got to be the most exciting and most technologically advanced SUV so far! Although, I do miss the lack of cargo | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Rear-view visibility, access to the rear seats, and large blind spot over the shoulder. | | | Previous car: | '98 Honda Passport'83 Chevy S10 Blazer |
